Keraton Sumenep, the Yellow Princess Palace

Keraton Sumenep in East Java, known as "Potre Koneng" (Princess Yellow). This nickname comes from in the former palace Sumenep've lived a the palace empress, Queen Ayu Tirto Negoro, who has a clean yellow skin that comes from China. In honor of the empress, Sumenep palace roof were given a bright yellow color.

Buildings Palace Sumenep established in the second half of the 18th century on the initiative of King Sumenep, namely Penembahan Sumolo or Tumenggung Arya Kusuma Nata. This palace diarsiteki by a Chinese named Ngo Liaw Piau. Through hands Liaw Piau Ngo is born a unique palace building, which blends architectural styles of Europe, China, and Java.


By visiting this the palace, tourists can see the results of acculturation of Javanese culture, Europe, and China which form the building Kerraton Sumenep. At the palace buildings Sumenep, visitors can see the nuances of Javanese court with the pillars and ornaments are European-style curves and a series of roof that resembles a Chinese temple.

Jawa Timur Park, Amazing & Unique Park !

Jawa Timur Park II (on English = East Java Park) is a new tourist vehicle in the Batu city (it means Stones city on English). This is a international standar park. Java is a new tourist vehicle in the town of Batu. Park consists of three parts, that is:
1. Animal Museum
2. Secret Zoo
3. Tree hotel

OK, let's discuse all the part of East Java Park II d^^,


Animal Museum

Museum of animals that are in the location of Java Timu Park in Batu, more precisely located in Oro-oro Ombo village, Batu district. This animal museum is an educational vehicle, where visitors can see a lot of dioramas of animals from around the world. With a ticket price of Rp. 50,000 (for the weekend).

The museum also been used as a place of making a video clip of the Virgin band, the title is Belaahan Jiwa.

When you first enter this animal museum, you are greeted by a giant bird cage. Inside this cage you can take pictures (it is provided as an object image). Inside this giant cage contained additional ornaments like flower gardens and bird sculptures. Really appropriate for the object photographed.

Batu City has a new zoo, the name is Secret Zoo. Location Secret Zoo is located a complex with Animal Museum, that is in East Java Park II, Batu City. Although this is a new zoo, but they have a much of collection of rare animal and no less good with other zoos in Indonesia. Architecture zoo is also an international scale. Even I believe it's much better than American owned.

Malioboro street is the name of one of the three-way streets in the city of Yogyakarta, which stretches from  Yogyakarta monument up to the intersection of Post Office in Yogyakarta. It consists of Prince Mangkubumi street, Malioboro street and Jendral Ahmad Yani street. This path is an imaginary axis line of Yogyakarta Kingdom. There are several historic objects in the region of three roads, among others Tugu Yogyakarta, Tugu Station, Gedung Agung, Beringharjo market, Fort Vredeburg, and the Monument Serangan Umum 1 Maret.

Malioboro street is very popular with the street vendors who peddle crafts of jogja. Food stalls at night selling food gudeg (typical drink from Yogya) and famous as a gathering place of artists who often express their abilities such as playing music, painting, happening art, pantomime and others along this street.


History


If traced from its history, Malioboro street at first it was built as a center of economic activity. Beginning of the Chinatown area in the region, which emerged from the Sultan Hamengkubuwono I picked a Chinese captain, Tan Jin Sing, in 1755. Javanese name, Setjodingrat, and lived in Setjodingratan (now located east of Post Office). Since about the year 1916, the southern residential area known as Chinatown Malioboro street, which is marked with houses shops selling grocery items, gold and clothing.

This area is more crowded after the Kraton building Pasar Gede (now Beringharjo market), operational since 1926. Chinatown began to spread to the north, to the Tugu railway station (built in 1887) and Grand Hotel de Yogya (established in 1911, now Hotel Garuda). Malioboro street be a link point from the station up to the fort Rusternburg (now Vredeburg) and Kraton (Palace). Ruko (house and shop) became common sights along this street. Because of that, culturally, space Malioboro street is a combination of the two dominant cultures, the Javanese and Chinese.

Formerly named Fort Rustenburg built by the Dutch in 1760 on land belonging to the palace. The fort was built with the purpose to protect resident of the Netherlands who lived in the area. Since built, this building has been used as: bastion of 1760 - 1830, Dutch and Japanese barracks 1830 - 1945, RI army headquarters from 1945 to 1977. In 1985 the building was used as the Museum of Struggle and opened to the public in the years 1987 and in 1992 renamed the Citadel Museum Yogyakarta.
